Can I use devices other than an iPod?
You can connect any line-level audio source (such as CD players, other MP3 players, your old cassette or 8 track tape player, etc.) via the line-in jack to enjoy great sound.

Why the iPod / Audio source is not responding?
Check if your 3.5mm stereo cable connected properly. Connect 3.5mm stereo cable to the audio source and Make sure the signal cable is inserted firmly into the correct jack & is fully connected in the "line-out", "audio-out" or the headphone jack on your sound card or other audio source.

Check if your iPod does not dock properly. Please ensure proper Dock Adapters is placed for your iPod, or unplug the iPod from the Docking station to see any obstructions in the connector or in your iPod.

* iBass comes with custom dock adaptor for different models iPod. Please refer to the iPod model number from the bottom of the dock adaptors for the relevant iPod.

Why do I need the inserts?
The inserts provide a snug fit to ensure proper alignment between the unit dock and the connector pins on your iPod. This protects the connector on the iPod and makes a better connection.

Why doesn't my second generation iPod Nano fit any of the included connectors?
Your second generation iPod Nano was produced after your iPod accessory. Please go to the contact us section of this website for directions as to how to contact us. We will be happy to provide you with instructions as to how you can get an appropriate Dock Adaptor for your iPod.

Why my docking station has no sound?
Check if you have turned on the power. Press power button on the remote control, if your iPod indicator light is off, please repeat pressing power button. Or unplug the power cable for 1 minute, then plug it back to reset the system.

Check if the volume level is too low. The volume level might be too low, press volume button to adjust.

Check if your iPod is playing. Make Sure your iPod is on, and a track is selected for playback.

Check if mute is on. The unit might be in MUTE condition. Press MUTE again.

Check if it is the software compatibility problem. Make sure your iPod is running with the most updated Apple software. For details, visit http://www.apple.com/ipod/download.

Check if your iPod power cable is connected. Make sure the power cable is securely plugged in to a functioning wall socket and the LED is illuminated. The symbol on the small connector is matched with that on rear panel of the unit. And make sure your iPod is firmly seated in the dock.

Check if it happens after quickly undocking or docking your iPod. Remove your iPod from the dock, wait for 5 seconds, and return it to the dock. Or unplug the power cable for 1 minute, then plug it back to reset the system.

Check if your iPod does not dock properly. Remove your iPod from the dock, wait briefly, the reset it. You may need to do this for few times.

Why my remote control is not functioning properly?
Check if your remote control is not pointed toward the infra-red window. Try the remote from different locations, and see if it works. Strong lighting or other room conditions may cause the problem. Make sure nothing blocks the infrared (IR) signal path between the remote and your speaker. Or try to wipe off the small red lens on the front end of the remote.

Check if your remote control without battery or low battery. Check the remote control battery to make sure the + side is facing up appropriately to polarity. Or replace the remote control battery when low level.

Check if it happens with software compatibility. Upgrade software of your iPod. For details, visit http://www.apple.com/ipod/download.

Why the unit doesn't charge my iPod's battery?
Check if your iPod is correctly docked in and check if your AC/DC adaptor is firmly plugged in the dock terminal.

Why my docking station has sound distortion?
Check if the volume level sets too high. Press volume button to decrease the volume. Distortion and noise are easily noticed with high powered speakers when playing poor quality audio source, esp. WAV and MID files. Try a different audio source such as a music CD or change better quality audio player.

Why my docking station is not responding?
This may be caused by mal-operation. Unplug the power cable, After 1 min, plug it again to reset the system. Or please contact customer service about the problem.
